Questions about Soya Protein Brownie
Can I eat the Soya Protein Brownie straight from the freezer?
Yes. You can eat it semi-frozen, straight from the freezer. For a fudgy centre, rest it 3 to 5 minutes at room temperature first. No oven, microwave or baking needed.
How long should I rest it before eating?
3 to 5 minutes at room temperature for a fudgy centre. Less time gives a firmer, semi-frozen bite. Don't refreeze it once it has thawed.
Is it suitable for people with diabetes?
No. It is sweetened with jaggery, and jaggery raises blood sugar much like sugar does. We don't make it for a diabetic diet.
Does it contain caffeine?
Yes, a little, from the cocoa and dark chocolate (there is no coffee in it). If you are pregnant or sensitive to caffeine, count it in your day's caffeine.
Is it vegetarian and eggless?
It is vegetarian and carries the FSSAI green mark, which means it contains no egg. It does contain milk (ghee), so it is not vegan.
What allergens does it contain?
Soy, tree nuts (almond), sesame and milk (ghee). Avoid it if you are allergic to any of these.
How much protein is in it?
About 13.2 g per 75 g brownie, calculated from the recipe, not lab-tested yet. The other calculated values per brownie: about 338 kcal, 8.2 g fibre and 15.6 g fat. The pack will carry lab-tested values. It is made with soya protein, but it is a dessert, not a protein supplement.
Can a café or cloud kitchen stock it without an oven?

How long does it keep?
