The short answer
Keep a frozen, single-serve dessert in the freezer and take it out when you sit down to eat. By the time dinner is finished, it is ready. Our Soya Protein Brownie is made for exactly this: rest it 3 to 5 minutes at room temperature for a fudgy centre, or eat it semi-frozen straight away.
There is no oven, no microwave and no baking. Nothing to wash except a plate.
What it is
A 75 g chocolate-coated brownie, one serving, vegetarian. It is sweetened with jaggery instead of refined sugar, made with soya protein, and has no maida. It keeps 3 weeks in a home freezer.
It is still in development, so it isn't on sale yet. If it sounds like your after-dinner habit, tap "I'd try this" below: it tells us what to make first.
How to serve it
Take it out of the freezer when you start dinner. Leave it on a plate for 3 to 5 minutes; that's enough for the centre to turn fudgy. If you like it firmer and cold, eat it semi-frozen. Once it has thawed, don't put it back in the freezer.
Keep frozen in your home freezer, at the back, not in the door. Don’t keep it in the fridge. A freezer door warms up every time it opens.
Being honest about it
It is a dessert. Jaggery is still sugar, so it isn't a lighter or "guilt-free" option, and we won't call it one. What it gives you is a proper brownie without baking, in one portion, so there's no tray of leftovers calling you back.
